Q:
What is gel?
A: Candle gel is manufactured from specially
processed mineral oils and gelled with
co-polymers. Gel has a clear rubbery texture and
burns twice as long as wax. All of our gel
candles are made with
Penreco Versagel.
Q: How long can I burn my
gel candle?
A: It is highly recommended that you burn your
gel candle for no longer than 4 hour intervals at a
time. Allow two hours in between lightings to
allow the contents to cool.
Q: Why does the wick mushroom while it's
burning?
A: It is common for a wick of a
scented
candle to mushroom. Before burning your gel candle
make sure you trim the wick to 1/4 inch with
wick trimmers and
maintain at that length through out the burning
of your gel candle.
Q: What happens to the embeds
when the gel candle burns?
A: All embeds in the
gel candle will stay in place as it burns down. No flammable embeds
are used in our products. Some embeds are made
of glass. Those embeds that are not made of
glass, never come in contact with the wick
because the wick is housed in a double glass
container.
Q: How do gel and wax burn time compare?
A: Gel candles burn up to twice as long compared
to wax candles.
Q: How long
will my gel candle burn?
A: The average burning time for gel candles is
9-10 hours per ounce of gel. So, a 10-ounce
candle will typically burn for 90-100 hours.
Burn times also reflect how well you maintain
your gel candles wick.
Q: Does the wick contain lead?
A: No, all wicks used in
my
gel candles are safe
and contain no lead.
Q: Do you make
your own gel?
A: No, we purchase our gel from the only
patented authorized manufacturer,
Penreco.
Q: Will the
gel be damaged in extreme hot or cold
conditions?
A:
Although we don't recommend you leave your
scented gel candle in extreme conditions that
could result in the deformation of the gel candle.
The gel is highly
stable and resistant to extreme
temperatures.
Q: Are the gel
candles refillable?
A: Yes, refillable
gel candles can be used over and
over again with gel
tealight inserts. The
ability to use them for many years makes them
the perfect gift or home accent.
Q: What does
burnable mean?
A: A burnable gel candle is the opposite of a
refillable, once the gel is used you can't
refill them with gel tealights.

A: No, our
gel candles are
designed and hand crafted on site with no two
